ANIKRON TM-08
The ANIKRON TM-08 digital excitation regulator for synchronous motors is designed to supply the rotor field winding and automatically control the excitation current during direct-on-line, reactor, variable-frequency, and soft starts, as well as during synchronous operation and emergency conditions of industrial synchronous motors (up to 32 MW) equipped with brush excitation systems.

Technical features:

Using an automatically switchable three-phase rectifier configuration reduces 0.4 kV grid power consumption by a factor of 1.4 compared to standard bridge-only exciters. This technical solution allows the use of matching transformers with a capacity one step lower than required for traditional rectification schemes;
- Effective built-in diagnostic system for the thyristor rectifier, based on rotor voltage and current waveform analysis. It detects thyristor breakdown, thyristor open circuits, phase loss in the supply network, and partial rotor short circuits;
- Reliable operation within a supply voltage range of 0.6 to 1.3 of the rated value;
- Start readiness indication, preventing motor startup if the excitation system is unready or faulty;
- Integrated communication interfaces: RS-485 with Modbus protocol and three 4- 20 mA current loops;
- External excitation current control via 4-20 mA current loops, RS-485 (Modbus), and pulse-width modulation (PWM);
- Compatibility with a wide range of industrial synchronous motors without requiring design modifications;
